We’ve used Wordpress, made modifications to an Adii template, added some useful plugins (I really like WP-Sticky), included the payment processing pages, added the content and now it’s ready. Ready for all the main players to talk about the Maya Angelou Libraries project, how it’s progressing, what issues they’re facing and how everyone can chip in.
Of course it’s not all done on the web front. As well as maintenance and updates (Wordpress 2.6 is available! Please notify the site administrator) we’ll be needing to promote the site online to get as much attention to the project as we can.

Along with a select few you will hear her deepest thoughts and feelings on the occasion of the Launch of The Maya Angelou Milestone Children’s Libraries – in a big screen presentation she has created especially for those who attend the event. This is to show her deep disappointment that new medical advice has forbidden her to travel at this time. She will be expressing her thanks to each individual who shows their support of this important event in London by providing a signed copy of her poem “And Still I Rise”.
